As a graduate seeking PGCE experience, Tradewind can place you as a Cover Supervisor or a Teaching Assistant. How do these roles differ?

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be required to oversee the completion of set work in the absence of the subject teacher. This role helps refine your behaviour management strategies as you manage classroom behaviour. You will also need to safeguard students' wellbeing and provide feedback to the cover manager at the end of the day, including reporting any issues.

As a Teaching Assistant, you may work on a 1-2-1 or small group basis. The role could involve working with students with SEND needs or those requiring catch-up support. You will collaborate with the subject teacher to discuss specific lesson requirements.
