Overview

Tradewind are recruiting! We are looking for dynamic and engaging graduates seeking school experience for Secondary classrooms across Wirral. If you are a recent graduate thinking about a career as a Secondary Teacher and would like some classroom experience, Tradewind can help you.

As a Graduate seeking PGCE experience you can be placed as a Cover Supervisor or a Teaching Assistant. How the roles differ is described below.

Responsibilities

• As a Cover Supervisor you will oversee the completion of set work in the absence of the subject teacher. You will refine your behaviour management strategies by managing the class and safeguarding students’ wellbeing. You will also provide daily feedback to the cover manager and report any issues.
• As a Teaching Assistant you could work 1-2-1 or in a small group setting with students who may have SEND needs or require catch up. You will converse with the subject teacher to discuss specific requirements for the lesson.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS Disclosure Certificate (on the update service or willing to apply; cost refunded after 20 days of work)
• Overseas police check (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• CV covering the last 10 years of employment history; explain employment breaks
• Legal right to work in the UK
