Overview

Tradewind are recruiting! We are looking for dynamic and engaging Graduates seeking school experience for secondary classrooms across Knowsley. Are you a recent graduate thinking about a career as a Secondary Teacher and would like some classroom experience? If so, Tradewind can help you. This role can place you as a Cover Supervisor or a Teaching Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Cover Supervisor: oversee the completion of set work in the absence of the subject teacher.
• As a Cover Supervisor, develop behaviour management strategies by managing the class.
• Safeguard students wellbeing and provide feedback at the end of the day to the cover manager, including reporting any issues.
• Teaching Assistant: work on a 1-2-1 or small group basis, supporting students with SEND or students who require catch-up.
• Collaborate with the subject teacher to discuss specific requirements for each lesson.

Requirements and Qualifications

• An Enhanced DBS Disclosure Certificate, on the update service or willingness to apply (cost refunded after 20 days of work).
• An overseas police check (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
• Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible; explain any employment breaks.
• You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
