Job summary
Stantec is offering a 2027 Graduate Programme for a Graduate Environmental Water Quality Consultant in our Newcastle office. You will join the UK-wide Environmental Water Quality team, delivering evidence-led solutions to protect and improve the water environment while developing professional skills in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.
You will support data analysis, fieldwork, modelling and reporting, with progression towards CIWEM accreditation and professional qualifications.
Qualifications
- Degree in science, maths, engineering or a closely related numerate discipline.
- Minimum A Level in Maths or Chemistry.
- Experience in data management or data analysis is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Managing, analysing and visualising environmental water quality data to identify trends, pressures and potential impacts.
- Supporting fieldwork, monitoring activities and data collection.
- Carrying out numerical analysis and modelling to describe water quality systems and processes.
- Applying a source-pathway-receptor approach to understand pressures on the water environment.
- Preparing presentations and technical reports communicating evidence and recommendations.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across water quality, modelling, catchment management and wider environmental services.
