Job summary

Arup in Cardiff is seeking graduates for our Water Civil Structures team. You will work on projects from concept to detailed design, including flood defences, wastewater infrastructure, and site assessments, collaborating with landscape, environmental, geotechnical specialists and clients.

The role offers development across technical, project delivery and collaboration skills, with travel around Wales and the Southwest encouraged.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong numerical skills.
Interest in structural engineering within the water sector.
Ability to develop practical client-focused solutions.

Responsibilities

Carrying out assessment, analysis, and design, preparing design reports, sketches, drawings, calculations, and specifications.
Collaborating with Arup colleagues in other disciplines.
Meeting with clients, national agencies, local authorities, and other stakeholders, including site visits.
Specifying and analysing survey information and constraints for solution development.
Developing and appraising options, feasibility studies and supporting the production of engineering solutions.
