Unlock your passions at Marple Veterinary Centre

Marple Veterinary Centre is a small animal practice located in the town of Stockport. Our practice is close to a train station and has great road links. We are close to Manchester for the urban lifestyle but also on the edge of the Peak District for any outdoor hiking/activities.

We have a friendly and passionate team of 4 part-time Vets, 1 full-time Vet, 7 Nurses, 5 support staff and a great admin team. Within our team, we have many certificate holders in Small Animal Medicine modules and Practice Management. We also have other Vets with interests in Cardiology and Dentistry. As a practice we support Otterspool Animal Haven and dove cat sanctuary and have regular social activities like our recent practice 'bake off' competition and regular meals out.

Practice facilities include 3 (soon to be 4) consult rooms, 1 theatre, one dental/radiography room, digital radiography, dental radiography with DR sensor, ultrasound with 2 probes, tonometry, capnography, multiparameter monitors, electrocautery, ophthalmology diamond burr and so much more. We also have a visiting Peripatetic Ultrasonographer for difficult cases.

Step into a supportive start

40 hours per week between 8am and 6:30pm Monday to Friday. You will also be part of our Saturday morning rota working 8am to 11:45am. You will have 1 day off per week.

You will be supported by our 2 qualified Graduate development programme mentors (CD and Lead Vet). You will be started on 30 minute consults and an assisted ops day and would progress to normal rota as your confidence grows. There will always be plenty of support available. We have a Vets Whatsapp group to ask any questions about cases and have discussions and regular Vets meetings.
