Unlock your passions at Clare Veterinary Hospital

Clare Veterinary Group is a group of practices located in Ballyclare, County Antrim, Northern Ireland, in an area close to Belfast with good transport links. The group consists of a main hospital site and three branches. Work at the different sites will be shared on a rota basis.

We have a large, supportive and friendly team of 22 Vets and 16 RVNs and excellent support staff. Our vets have certificates in Emergency & Critical Care and SA Surgery, with one Vet working towards a GP Vet Futures certificate. Our Nursing team hold certificates in Emergency & Critical Care and Exotics.

We have a purpose-built hospital premises with 4 consult rooms; a large prep room; two separate theatres; an x-ray and scanning suite; dental suite; laboratory room; isolation; kennels; cattery and exotics room. We have a range of equipment to include digital x-ray; ultrasound; ECG, endoscopy, Idexx blood machines, dental equipment, dental x-ray; anaesthetic monitoring equipment and much more.

Step into a supportive start

40 hours per week. Shared rota with one set night on call per week. One half day per week and half day Fridays offered in lieu of weekend on. Weekends on a rota basis, currently a maximum of 1 in 3 weekends.

We offer a high level of support to our graduates, with dedicated Vet GDP support and from our team of support staff, RVNs, experienced Vets, Senior Vets and Clinical Directors.
