Role/Programme:

As a UX Researcher Graduate, you’ll join our Research Design team in September 2025. This full-time role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact and kickstart your career. You’ll be onboarded with the global Graduate cohort in one of our offices and learn the basics of being a Wiser.

During the Design graduate programme, you will spend the first 9 months working in one of our product teams, where you’ll shape useful, usable, and memorable customer experiences. You will then rotate into a second 9-month placement with a different team within the same squad and add breadth and depth to the skills you developed in your first placement. At the end of the 18-month grad programme, you will settle into your permanent role.

We’re looking for a Graduate UX Researcher to join our multidisciplinary Design team in London. Your time will be split between working in one of our product teams, where you’ll shape useful, usable, and memorable customer experiences, and in our UX Research team, where you’ll champion research and best practice. You’ll be part of Wise’s global mission to build an open, fair, and human financial system. Because people without borders need money without borders.

Your mission:

You'll be mentored by several UX Researchers at Wise, collaborating with other Wisers and fellow grads on cross-functional projects. We plot our moves every quarter, and your mission will be mapped out with your lead. You’ll have plenty of room to grow and help to define your scope.

Here’s how you’ll contribute:

  • You’ll get to know Wise product teams and customers, building empathy and deep understanding of their needs.
  • You’ll be honing and flexing your craft skills in a collaborative environment.
  • You’ll be influential in your team, guiding them to prioritise customer-centricity, creativity, and design quality.

You will have flexibility in how and where you work. We understand everyone needs a little something different - so we’ll do our best to make it happen, but we recommend coming to the office as much as possible in your first months.

Qualifications

What does it take? These things are a must:

  • You are graduating in 2025 or you’ve graduated in 2024 with a Bachelors or Masters degree
  • You are able to start a full-time graduate job in September 2025
  • You’re naturally curious about people and ready to question assumptions about people
  • You’re interested in building a career in User/Design Research
  • You have a good understanding of different qualitative and quantitative research methods and are interested in applying them in a commercial setting
  • You’ve been accountable during your studies for all or a part of a project from start to finish, and are able to talk about how you planned the research, picked your methodology, and your approach to data analysis
  • You’re able to clearly rationalise your decisions to other team members
  • You’re confident talking about key insights, learnings, and, if applicable, the impact of your work
  • Eligible to work in London

We don’t expect you will have a portfolio of UX projects you have worked on; we’re hoping to hear from great social researchers who want to work at pace on impactful projects, without the constraints of academia.

And these would be great, but aren’t essential:

  • Understanding of how to design responsive web experiences.
  • You’re curious about learning from user testing and iterating on your work.
  • You have knowledge or experience of creating production-ready deliverables.

If you are excited about this opportunity and you’re confident in your abilities but don’t hit every mark on our list, we still want to hear from you! Don’t hesitate to apply by submitting your updated resume and your portfolio or any writing samples, articles, or your dissertation, if applicable!
