Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to kickstart their career in steam turbine design. The role involves defining mechanical design elements, selecting materials, and coordinating with internal and external teams.

You will develop 3D models in CATIA V5 or NX, review drawings and BOMs, and provide on-site engineering support during manufacturing, installation, and outages with international travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Carry out mechanical design definitions for steam turbines, including materials selection, manufacturing processes, and assembly.
• Develop and maintain 3D design models using CATIA V5 or NX, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and design intent.
• Review engineering drawings and BOMs produced by draughting teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel regionally and internationally, including to manufacturing sites and customer locations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the mechanical design definition of steam turbines, including materials selection, manufacturing processes, and site assembly procedures.
• Develop and maintain 3D design models using CATIA V5 or NX, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and design intent.
• Integrate components designed by internal and external engineering teams into a complete and optimized steam turbine design.
• Review and approve engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) produced by draughting teams.
