Arup is seeking a Graduate Transport Planner as part of its Early Careers program in the UK. The role involves contributing to transport planning projects, performing data analysis, and preparing reports for a range of high-profile clients.

You’ll gain responsibility quickly with guidance and support from senior colleagues. The successful candidate will hold an undergraduate degree in a relevant field, have full working rights in the UK, and be recently graduated or on track to graduate before

The Opportunity

By being part of our transport planning team, you will help to provide expert guidance, make recommendations, and help to identify solutions tailored to a client's or project's specific needs. It involves understanding the bigger picture, listening to stakeholders, analysing data, and providing informed advice to help make better decisions. You’ll help us to deliver exciting and interesting projects for a range of varied and high-profile clients. While you’ll have a great deal of opportunity from day one, we’ll give you the chance to take on more responsibility as you progress and broaden your skills with guidance and support throughout.

You will be aligned but not limited to the following duties:

  • Preparing reports on technical analysis and findings;
  • Undertaking numerical analysis, solving technical problems and providing innovative solutions as your level of experience develops;
  • Understanding various computer software tools ranging from Microsoft Excel through to specific modelling packages;
  • Working on technical, research and strategy reports; undertaking site visits as required.

For this opportunity, we are seeking the following qualifications, skills and attributes:

An undergraduate or bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, such as Civil Engineering, Geography & Geospatial Science, Mathematics or Urban Planning.

  • No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role
