Arup is a global consultancy delivering transport planning and sustainability across diverse projects in the UK. We seek graduates to deliver analysis, assist in policy work and develop transport strategies for towns, cities and regions.
You will join multidisciplinary teams across planning, engineering and design, contributing to evidence-based strategies and masterplans that improve mobility and outcomes for communities.
You see the world through a unique lens and that’s exactly what we need. We embrace how you see things differently – it’s essential for creating a sustainable future.
Arup is a global consultancy with advisory and technical expertise across more than 150 disciplines. We guide, plan and design the future of the built environment. Globally, each year we recruit hundreds of graduates and students who help us see things differently and solve the most complex challenges facing our clients, climate and communities.

Transport planners assess current and future travel demand, advise on transport strategies, prepare evidence for development planning applications, design active travel and sustainable mobility solutions, and support masterplans that create better outcomes for people and places. Projects can range from strategic transport studies, business cases and policy advice through to major development proposals, station and interchange planning, public transport schemes, walking and cycling improvements, traffic and movement analysis, and transport inputs to regeneration and infrastructure programmes. You will work with a wide range of clients, including local authorities, combined authorities, government bodies, developers, landowners, transport operators and infrastructure organisations. You will also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Arup, bringing together expertise from planning, design, engineering and sustainability to deliver integrated solutions for our clients.
