Job summary

Arup invites graduates to join its transport planning team in a role that develops analytical and advisory skills on high-profile projects. You will learn to analyse data, produce reports and use modelling tools while supporting client needs.

  • Undertake numerical analysis and propose innovative solutions as experience grows.
  • Work with software tools from Excel to modelling packages.
  • Contribute to technical, research and strategy reports and conduct site visits as required.

The Opportunity

By being part of our transport planning team, you will help to provide expert guidance, make recommendations, and help to identify solutions tailored to a client's or project's specific needs. It involves understanding the bigger picture, listening to stakeholders, analysing data, and providing informed advice to help make better decisions. You’ll help us to deliver exciting and interesting projects for a range of varied and high-profile clients. While you’ll have a great deal of opportunity from day one, we’ll give you the chance to take on more responsibility as you progress and broaden your skills with guidance and support throughout.

You will be aligned but not limited to the following duties:

  • Preparing reports on technical analysis and findings;
  • Undertaking numerical analysis, solving technical problems and providing innovative solutions as your level of experience develops;
  • Understanding various computer software tools ranging from Microsoft Excel through to specific modelling packages;
  • Working on technical, research and strategy reports;
    undertaking site visits as required.

For this opportunity, we are seeking the following qualifications, skills and attributes:

An undergraduate or bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, such as Civil Engineering, Geography & Geospatial Science, Mathematics or Urban Planning.

To be considered for a graduate opportunity, your application must include a copy of your academic transcript and meet the following criteria:

  • Full working rights in the country of application
  • No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role
  • Recently graduated, or on track to graduate, from your most recent degree, related to your role of choice, before employment starts.
