Job summary

Sweco UK Ltd is recruiting a Graduate Transport Planner to join the Infrastructure & Environment Division as part of the Autumn 2027 Early Careers Graduate Scheme. You will contribute to transport planning projects from inception through strategy development, appraisal, and detailed scheme design.

You will work alongside experienced consultants to develop analytical, technical and communication skills, and contribute to meaningful projects for public and private sector clients.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field such as transport planning, urban studies or similar.
• Less than 12 months of relevant work experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and common digital tools.
• Driven, proactive and solution-oriented.
• Eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyse and interpret data relating to transport systems and patterns.
• Support development and appraisal of transport strategies and business cases.
• Research transport policy, local context and emerging trends.
• Provide day-to-day technical input within a team of transport planners.
• Produce clear reports and presentations communicating evidence and recommendations.
• Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
• Manage tasks with project managers to meet scope, time and quality.
