Graduate Transport Planner

A National Transport & Engineering Design consultancy is looking to recruit a Graduate Transport Planner in their Bristol Office. They are willing to massively invest in you, offering full training and support whilst you help the team deliver a range of transport planning schemes including Travel Plans, Transport Assessments, and Traffic Forecasting!

You will be working on large scale Solar Farms, 2,500 home new residential developments, and mixed-use developments across the South West, making a real difference in sustainable infrastructure.

You will be joining an established team of Transport Planners that work across 4 offices in the UK and have access to the expertise and expert advice from everyone in the team of 9 in Bristol.

Graduate Transport Planner Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of Transport Assessments, Transport Feasibility Studies, and Travel Plans.
• Focus on the preparation of junction capacity analysis, figures for reports, swept path assessment, analysis of data, and drawings of transport improvements including junction designs.
• Expected to work with and prepare spreadsheets and write reports.
• Work as part of a growing team and carry out a variety of tasks to meet report delivery deadlines.
• Opportunity to become involved in a wide variety of exciting development projects and be a critical part of a busy commercially-focused team with an expanding workload.

Graduate Transport Planner Requirements

• Achieved or on target to achieve an Honours Degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, Geography, Statistics, Economics, Operational Research, or equivalent subject.
• Preferred: Relevant work experience gained through summer placements and internships or a genuine interest in Transport Planning.
• Must be eligible to live and work in the UK at the time of starting employment.
