Job Description:

GPW Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for two qualified Construction Setting Out Engineers in the North West of England.

Our client is a well-established but growing construction business, with contracts in both the public and private sectors, serving some of the UK’s biggest names as retained clients.

We are seeking a career-focused individual with some construction experience. The successful candidate must be willing to learn from highly experienced senior site members, with a view towards regular career progression.

This role offers genuine career progression and is viewed as a long-term investment.

General Duties:
  • Shadowing and supporting senior site engineers.
  • Assisting with monitoring the quality of work, reporting faults or issues promptly.
  • Maintaining detailed records of setting out and surveying activities, including drawings, reports, and calculations.
  • Ensuring all activities comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborating with project managers, contract managers, and architects to meet project targets.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or an HNC in a related field is essential.
  • 1-5 years of site experience, including university placements or employment.
  • A full UK driving license.
  • A valid CSCS card.
  • SMSTS qualification (preferred but not essential).
