An opportunity to start a meaningful career in Special Education Location: Cheltenham, GL51 Position: Graduate Trainee SEN Child Support Worker Contract Type: Full-time and Part-Time Roles Available, Monday-Friday, 8:30-4:30 Salary: £89+ per day (depending on experience and qualifications) We are currently working with a fantastic school that cover the ages 3-19. We are looking for teaching assistants to start September on a full time basis, Monday – Friday, 8:30-4:30. As it is an SEN school, the curriculum is very flexible with a lot of outdoor and sensory learning. It is a beautiful site with a lot of outdoor land where the students can express themselves creatively and through sports. The students that attend have a variety of needs including, ASD, complex needs, SEMH and students that are none-verbal. There are many benefits to working in this school, including being Team Teach trained by onsite experts, forest school learning, DofE and they have a school disco once a week which the sixth form age students organise and set up! This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates who are looking to learn more about behavioural challenges and mental health on the job! Requirements: We are looking for someone who is outgoing, proactive, caring and patient, with experience working with children or vulnerable adults. This school is far more interested in finding the right person to understand their children and to fit into their culture. There is not a one size fits all and the best teaching assistants/ school support workers come from a variety of backgrounds.
