Job summary

InPost UK is seeking a Graduate - Trainee Operations Manager Parcels in Livingston, Scotland. You will get hands-on experience from day one, learning the operation from the ground up and taking ownership as you develop into an operational leader.

You'll analyse performance, productivity, quality and cost, solve problems, and develop your people leadership skills across depots, hubs, transport and last-mile operations. A clear pathway exists toward an Operations Manager role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:1 degree in any discipline.
• Graduated in 2024, 2025 or 2026.
• Willing to travel between locations and stay away overnight when required.
• Full UK driving licence and able to travel between operational locations.

Responsibilities

• Get hands-on across inbound, sort, outbound and last-mile operations with depot teams.
• Use data to identify issues and turn insight into action.
• Lead team briefings and performance conversations to develop people.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Operations, Transport, Hubs and other areas.
• Understand how the entire parcel journey works and its cost/quality implications.
• Take ownership and deliver practical improvements in changing priorities.

What We Need from You:

You don't need previous logistics or Operations Manager experience. We'll teach you the operation and give you the opportunity to develop as a leader. We're looking for graduates who:

Have a minimum 2:1 degree in any discipline.

You'll have graduated in the last 3 years in 2024, 2025 or 2026.

Have a full UK driving licence.

Are willing to travel between operational locations.

Are flexible with travelling and staying overnight away from home when required as part of the role.

Can work operational shifts, including early, late or weekend shifts where required.

Are confident working with data and learning new systems.

Take ownership and enjoy solving problems.

Communicate confidently and enjoy working with people.

Are resilient, adaptable, and curious.

Want to take responsibility and develop into a future operational leader.

We'd also love to see:

Experience or an interest in business, logistics, supply chain, engineering, operations, continuous improvement, Excel, Power BI or Lean, but these aren't essential.
