Overview

Role: Graduate Trainee Management / Financial Accountant

Location: Town Hall, Chorley

Contract: Full time (36.25 hours per week) / Permanent

Salary: 31,537 - 33,699

A fantastic opportunity for career progression with an enthusiastic team in Chorley and South Ribble! This role offers the chance to work across both the Management Accounts and Financial Accounts functions of the team and subsequently develop a range of high level technical skills.

What you\'ll be getting up to
  • Working with the Financial Accounts team to provide treasury management, financial and corporate accounting services to two councils and their subsidiary companies.
  • Supporting the delivery of the Statement of Accounts for both councils and their subsidiary companies.
  • Preparing and presenting management accounting reports for budget holders.
  • Contributing to the development of corporate and service strategies.

  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Ability to communicate confidently and effectively.
  • Experience of working in a team to deliver outcomes.
  • Experience of completing projects to a defined deadline.
  • Strong IT skills.
