Role Summary

The Graduate Trainee will join the Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) function, part of the second line of defence, ensuring Marex's compliance with laws and standards related to financial crime and sanctions. This generalist role involves supporting the implementation and assurance of the financial crime framework and engaging with key stakeholders across the business.

Overall Responsibilities

  1. Supporting the Financial Crime team in governance, policy production, risk assessments, monitoring, advisory, training, management information, assurance, and business change initiatives.
  2. Ensuring compliance with FCA regulations and internal policies.
  3. Acting with integrity, demonstrating high standards of conduct, and adhering to the FCA’s Code of Conduct.
  4. Reporting breaches and escalating risk events promptly.
  5. Contributing to risk management processes.

Competencies & Skills

  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Self-motivated, proactive problem-solver, eager to learn.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, team-oriented, and adaptable under pressure.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and Microsoft Office skills.
