Overview

Office based in South East England. Are you a graduate looking to move into a commercial role involving account management, customer management, logistics, trading, and purchasing? This role focuses on specialised recycling, involving the acquisition of spent and waste catalysts from global oil, gas, and petrochemical industries.

Company Description

The company purchases waste materials and arranges their shipment to processors worldwide for metal recovery. These recovered metals are used to produce high-purity chemicals and metals, which are resold globally as part of a full-loop recycling process.

Candidate Profile

We seek a graduate with a few years of experience in a technical or commercial role, confident, self-motivated, and willing to undertake some global travel. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Arrange global purchases and sales of metal-containing spent catalysts and other secondary materials.
  2. Build and maintain relationships with processors and identify new opportunities.
  3. Liaise with clients and processing companies; occasional global visits.
  4. Attend trade exhibitions and industry events.
  5. Prepare and issue purchase and sales contracts.
  6. Coordinate with logistics for smooth shipping.
  7. Report to department head and Managing Director.
Qualifications & Experience
  1. Experience in a technical or commercial role, ideally in chemicals, catalysts, metals, or petrochemicals.
  2. Willingness to travel globally (up to 3-4 weeks per year), including Middle East, USA, China, Asia, and Europe.
  3. Right to work in the UK and a valid passport.
  4. Experience with Incoterms and containerisation is a plus.
