Job Description:

Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets.

We are more than 36,000 people, in over 70 countries, dedicated to improving quality of life. Everyone has an important role to play. With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world's most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.

Our graduate GROW programme is a structured 3-year programme, designed to help you evolve and develop skills to become an experienced professional in your chosen field. You’ll benefit from training and development, mentoring, and assistance for accreditations relevant to your programme, as well as the support and guidance you need to develop and succeed. As a GROW graduate, you will be empowered to drive your career and will be exposed to a variety of experiences to assist you in gaining the skills you require to succeed.

As a specialist and science graduate joining GROW, you will specialise from day one in your chosen discipline. Working in teams of consultants, you'll be responsible for your own deliverables, liaising with clients, and given every opportunity to build your skillsets and technical expertise. You'll work on a range of environmental and planning projects which may include major infrastructure, urban regeneration, and community-focused projects that will expose you to a variety of challenges and technical specialists.

Town Planning - As part of our integrated Town / Development / Infrastructure Planning and Environmental Assessment and Management team, you'll be instrumental in delivering holistic planning solutions across a range of sectors and for our diverse portfolio of clients. Our projects include delivering major housing developments, supporting regeneration and mixed-use development, and world-renowned major infrastructure planning projects (e.g., energy, transport, water, etc.). A key part of your role will be to contribute to feasibility studies and options assessments, input to design development, consultation and stakeholder engagement, preparing and submitting planning applications for small community projects up to nationally significant infrastructure projects, and discharging conditions during the delivery phase.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • You will be graduating in or have recently graduated with at least a 2:2 in a relevant master's or bachelor's degree.
  • You will demonstrate typical Arcadis skills including resilience, creativity, analytical thinking, and being a team player.
  • You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders.
  • Willing to travel and stay away from home when required (where possible, we embrace virtual working).
  • Hold a full driving license which allows you to drive in the UK.
  • Comfortable with site-based working when required for projects.
