This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate or early-career planner to join a collaborative business that's passionate about land, property, and helping clients unlock the full potential of their assets. Working from modern offices in the heart of the Midlands, the team delivers planning, architecture, building surveying, valuation, and business consultancy services across a broad range of sectors.

You'll be joining a close-knit yet diverse team of planners, heritage consultants, archaeologists, engineers, and architects, giving you exposure to a wide range of projects and disciplines. It's the perfect size to ensure variety, flexibility, and personal growth, while still maintaining a warm, team-oriented environment where your voice is heard and your work truly matters.

The Role:

As a Graduate Planning Consultant, you'll work on everything from small-scale self-builds and farm developments to major urban extensions and renewable energy projects. You'll manage your own caseload while supporting senior planners on larger, more complex schemes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Research, report writing, and preparing planning applications
  2. Managing smaller applications independently
  3. Assisting with site promotions, appeals, and larger projects
  4. Attending client meetings and site visits
  5. Learning and developing specialist skills aligned with your interests
About You:

This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with up to a few years of experience who is working towards RTPI membership. You'll need to be confident, adaptable, and eager to grow your career in a supportive professional environment.

Requirements:
  1. Undergraduate degree in Town Planning or a related subject
  2. Ambition to gain RTPI membership
  3. Strong written English and attention to detail
  4. Proactive, organised, and keen to take initiative
  5. Comfortable engaging with clients and colleagues alike
  6. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits
What's on Offer:

You'll be joining a friendly, supportive team that values your development and well-being. The company offers:

  1. Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications
  2. 35 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays), with extra days for long service and your birthday
  3. Private healthcare and employee assistance programme
  4. Agile working policy with a flexible approach to office/remote work
  5. Funded RTPI membership, CPD events, and training opportunities
  6. Enhanced pension scheme via NEST
  7. Salary sacrifice schemes including Electric Vehicle and Cycle to Work
  8. Discretionary bonus potential
  9. Access to staff discounts and employee loan scheme post-probation
