Graduate Planner

Location: Swindon

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to support an independent and well-established town and country planning consultancy based in Swindon. We are seeking a driven Graduate Planner to join their close-knit team and contribute to a diverse range of development projects across the UK.

With expertise in planning applications, appeals, site promotion, and environmental assessments (including rural, residential, and strategic work), this is an excellent opportunity to grow technically and professionally under capable mentorship.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Assist in preparing and submitting planning applications, design/access statements, and appeals
  • Support site assessments, policy research, and scheme appraisals
  • Collaborate with senior planners on strategic site promotion and public inquiries
  • Help manage communications with clients, consultants, and statutory consultees
  • Engage in environmental consultancy work, including scoping and EIA support
What We’re Looking For
  • A town planning degree (or related discipline), with a positive interest in pursuing RTPI accreditation
  • Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills
  • A proactive, detail-oriented, and client-focused approach
  • Ideally some experience in planning consultancy, property, or a related field
