Town Planner

Salary - £25-£65k per annum DOE

Chichester - Hybrid working (3 days in the office)

Are you a graduate having studied a town planning (or related) degree and looking to take a step into a town planning career or a chartered town planner already within the town planning sector but looking for a change and to work for a smaller consultancy that will push you to progress?

I am working with a consultancy in Chichester who are looking for town planners from graduate town planner up to Associate Town Planner to join their team on a full time, hybrid basis. Your duties would include:

1. Keeping an accurate database of Planning policies from Local Planning Authorities, Local Plans, and Neighbourhood Plan Reviews for internal use
2. Evaluating and revising local planning policy and monitoring housing land availability
3. Aiding in the creation of Planning applications, fulfilling conditions, and preparing appeal documents for submission to Local Planning Authorities and the Planning Inspectorate
4. Supporting the submission of planning applications to Local Planning Authorities and building and nurturing relationships with important stakeholders and clients
5. Tracking the advancement of sites within the Development Land portfolio
6. Participating in Planning Committee Meetings and Public Consultation Meetings
7. Offering general assistance to the Planning and Development Land teams
8. Leading a team (if of a more senior position) and progressing your own planning applications and appeals
