Graduate Town Planner - Cardiff

A leading planning, design, and development consultancy is looking for a Graduate Town Planner to join their Cardiff team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across the UK, gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative and innovative environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will:

1. Assist in the preparation and management of planning applications, development appraisals, and evidence-based studies
2. Work closely with clients and local authorities to navigate planning policies and procedures
3. Support the team with research, analysis, and report writing
4. Contribute to solving complex planning challenges, including listed buildings, appeals, and heritage appraisals
5. Develop skills in master planning, environmental impact assessments, and land promotion

Key Skills & Requirements

1. Strong written and verbal communication skills
2. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
3. Keen interest in planning policy, local authority processes, and development regulations
4. A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving
5. Working towards RTPI accreditation is desirable
