A forward-thinking, multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Town Planner to join their growing planning team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients across the private and public sectors, shaping the places of tomorrow while building your professional career.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will support planning consultants and senior planners in delivering a wide portfolio of projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. You will assist with planning applications, policy research, site appraisals, stakeholder engagement, and local plan representations, gaining exposure to all aspects of the UK planning system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the preparation and submission of planning applications and supporting documents
  • Assist with site assessments, planning strategy reports, and development feasibility
  • Monitor local and planning policy updates
  • Conduct research, prepare planning statements, and support the appeals process
  • Attend site visits and client meetings, with guidance from senior team members
  • Liaise with local authorities, consultants, and clients

About You:

  • A relevant degree (RTPI-accredited Town Planning or related subject)
  • A genuine interest in planning and the built environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly organised with good attention to detail
  • Eligibility for or working towards RTPI licentiate membership
