Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a detail-oriented QA/Test Engineer in Bristol to contribute to high-quality software delivery. The role requires strong Object-Oriented programming skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work effectively across web and mobile testing environments.

You will engage with stakeholders to define testing scope, create test plans, and execute test cases aligned with defined requirements and acceptance criteria.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or STEM-related field.
• Confident at programming in at least one Object-Oriented language.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Good time management with a focus on delivery.
• Team player, collaborative, self-motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Support a client-focused approach by contributing to quality outcomes across delivery.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand testing scope, requirements, and expectations.
• Communicate test progress and findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to the creation of Test Plans and supporting test artefacts.
• Write and execute test cases aligned to defined requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Perform testing across web and mobile environments using appropriate tools.
• Work to agreed deadlines, managing time effectively across assigned tasks.
• Support validation of solutions against requirements, Definition of Ready, and Definition of Done.
• Identify, document, and report defects with clear supporting evidence.
• Assist in troubleshooting issues and contribute to problem solving activities.
• Provide objective feedback to support improvements in product quality.
