Job summary

SF Technology in Birmingham is seeking a Graduate Test Engineer to test and validate an advanced connected hardware product. You will gain hands-on experience across hardware, software and product development while testing, debugging and automating data capture.

The role provides exposure to hardware and software testing, while developing practical lab skills and problem-solving abilities in a dynamic tech environment.

Qualifications

• A degree in electronics, electrical engineering, mechatronics or a related subject.
• A Master's degree would be advantageous.
• Practical hardware or laboratory experience through projects or a placement.
• Some experience with Python and C++.
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
• A motivated person with a genuine desire to learn.

Responsibilities

• Running component, functional and complete product tests.
• Testing hardware performance, reliability and endurance.
• Using laboratory equipment and building simple test rigs.
• Automating tests and data capture using Python and C++.
• Recording defects and supporting root cause investigations.
