About the Role:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support teaching and learning across a variety of subjects and year groups. This is an exciting role where you will assist teachers in managing classroom activities, helping pupils stay focused and engaged, and providing tailored support to students with varying academic needs.

This role is particularly well-suited to graduates considering a future in teaching, educational psychology, or SEN support, and provides first-hand experience working within a dynamic school setting.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support class teachers in delivering lessons and managing behaviour.
• Work with pupils in small groups or on a 1:1 basis to support learning objectives.
• Assist in preparing learning materials and resources.
• Provide classroom and administrative support as required.
• Help maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all pupils.

Job Requirements:

• Prior experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (TA) or support role in a school-based setting is desirable.
• A university degree in any subject (education-related degrees are advantageous).
• A desire to work in education and a commitment to supporting young people.
• Confidence, initiative, and a proactive attitude in the classroom.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
