Milk Education is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students in SEN and SEMH settings in Reading. You will work 1:1 and in small groups, assisting pupils with autism, ADHD, and other needs, helping them access lessons and stay on task.

This role is ideal for graduates aiming for teaching, educational psychology, or youth work. You’ll gain hands-on classroom experience, build behaviour management skills, and contribute to pastoral care within supportive school environments.

Formación

• Recent graduates with degrees in Psychology, Education, Criminology, Sociology, Sports Science or similar.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Resilient, patient and adaptable when supporting learners.

Responsabilidades

• Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups within the classroom.
• Assist the teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
• Help students stay focused, motivated and on task.
• Support students with SEN needs such as autism and ADHD.
• Use behaviour management and de-escalation strategies when required.
• Build positive relationships with students and support emotional regulation.
• Assist with classroom preparation and resource organisation.
• Monitor and report on student progress and engagement.
