Job summary

Reeson Education is seeking a proactive Teaching Assistant to support students in a large secondary school in Sutton, starting September 2026. The role suits someone with prior secondary experience or a graduate aiming to pursue teaching in the future.

The successful candidate will assist students with learning across multiple year groups, including those with SEN, and work closely with teachers to implement learning activities and nurture student progress.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will be a Teaching Assistant with prior secondary school experience, or a graduate looking to pursue a career as a qualified teacher in the future.
• Candidates with previous SEN experience are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with lesson plans and assist with students learning
• Use strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to support students to achieve learning goals
• Assist with the planning of learning activities
• Establish constructive relationships with students and interact with them according to individual needs
