Job summary

Reeson Education is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding school in Hackney. This full-time term-time role provides 1:1 support for students with extra needs, helping with daily lessons and adapting learning materials.

You will monitor student progress, report to the teacher, and assist with classroom management to keep a positive environment. A degree and recent school or care experience are required, with strong English and references.

Qualifications

• You must have a degree (Education, Psychology, or the Arts are ideal).
• Recent experience in a school or care setting is required.
• Ability to provide satisfactory professional references covering your work or training history.
• Good English and communication skills are essential.
• You must understand child safety (safeguarding) and have an interest in SEN.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with students to help them with their daily lessons.
• Help create and adapt learning materials.
• Keep track of students' progress and report to the teacher.
• Help manage behaviour and keep the classroom safe and positive.
