Job summary

The Arthur Terry School is seeking a caring Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support students in a busy secondary school. You will work with teachers to deliver lessons, supporting individuals and groups to develop confidence and learning skills.

Qualifications

• Holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience with children or young people preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Work with individuals and small groups of students to reinforce learning and provide additional support.
• Help students develop their confidence, independence and learning skills.
• Support students with a range of learning needs, adapting approaches where appropriate.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage students to participate fully in learning.
• Assist with preparing classroom resources and maintaining a safe, organised learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and colleagues to support student progress and wellbeing.
