An East London based secondary school is looking to appoint a small number of Graduates to work as teaching assistants from September 2024. This teaching assistant role would be ideal for Graduates who have an interest in teaching and are keen to spend the academic year working as a teaching assistant.

As a teaching assistant at this Tower Hamlets based secondary school, the Graduate teaching assistants work closely with students of all abilities from year 7 – year 11. You will be working closely with the school's learning support department, giving potential teachers of the future the opportunity to gain vital hands-on experience. You will be working closely with experienced teachers, giving you the opportunity to learn various teaching techniques.

The school is looking to hear from Graduates who have gained some form of experience with young people – paid or voluntary. They are also looking for Graduates who are thinking about a potential career in teaching and are considering commencing a Schools Direct/PGCE in the future.

Trial days for these teaching assistant positions are being arranged ASAP.
