An outstanding primary school in Redbridge, London, is seeking 3 Teaching Assistants to join them in September 2025 on a full-time, 1-year contract. They are looking for graduates to work with children across EYFS, KS1 & KS2, delivering interventions both 1-2-1 and in small groups to support daily learning, Maths, Reading & Writing.
Details of the role:
This role is ideal for graduates interested in pursuing careers in education, such as teachers, educational psychologists, counselors, social workers, or related fields involving children. The school welcomes graduates with any degree, including Maths, English, Science, Arts, Psychology, Education, Early Years Childhood Studies, Sociology, Criminology, Special Needs, Languages, etc. All degrees are valuable in school settings.
Some experience working with children or with a family member with additional needs is preferred but not essential.
The role involves a mix of general classroom duties assisting teachers, delivering interventions to small groups, and working 1:1 with children with mild special educational needs or EAL (English as an Additional Language).
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates seeking a career working with children. The school offers opportunities to work alongside specialists such as teachers, social workers, educational psychologists, and speech & language therapists. It provides insight into teaching practices and the process of writing and implementing EHCPs.
Successful candidates may be considered for teacher training starting September 2026 after a year in the role.
