Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. This graduate opportunity offers meaningful classroom experience across various settings and a clear pathway toward teacher training or permanent employment.

You will support pupils, work with individuals or small groups, assist teachers, and help create a positive, structured learning environment while developing professional relationships within the school team.

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent qualification.
• An interest in developing a career within education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with children and young people.
• Patience, reliability and a professional approach.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a school team.
• A willingness to learn and take feedback.
• Previous experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with their learning across lessons and activities.
• Working with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and preparation.
• Supporting pupils with additional learning or SEND requirements.
• Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement and independence.
• Helping create a safe, structured and supportive learning environment.
• Developing an understanding of classroom practice and effective teaching.
• Building professional relationships with pupils and education staff.
