Tradewind Recruitment is working with a range of supportive and inclusive secondary schools in Newham who are looking for enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their teams from September 2025.

About the Role:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers to support students' learning across a variety of subjects. This role is ideal for someone considering a future in teaching, offering valuable classroom experience and training opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students in and out of lessons, including one-to-one and small group work

  • Assisting with classroom management and lesson preparation

  • Helping students with special educational needs (SEN) to access the curriculum

  • Encouraging student engagement and academic progress

  • Collaborating with teachers and pastoral staff to support student wellbeing

What We're Looking For:

  • A recent graduate (any subject considered, but strong demand for English, Maths, Science, and Humanities)

  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude

  • Experience working with young people is desirable but not essential

  • Commitment to working full-time during term time
