Graduate Teaching Assistants

We are looking for graduates who have a passion for education and working with children to join Smart Teachers as Teaching Assistants with our partner primary schools across East London.

Training for working as a Teaching Assistant will be provided by us. We do not use umbrella companies, PAYE.

About the role

As a graduate teaching assistant, you will work in mainstream primary schools within East London, supporting pupils across all year groups in Early Years, KS1, and KS2.

We offer both full-time roles in a single school from Monday to Friday and part-time supply roles. Part-time supply roles involve working in different schools and year groups throughout the week based on your availability. You inform us of your availability, and if work is available on those days, we will offer it to you.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the class teacher throughout the day
  • Assisting pupils with their work in the classroom
  • Supporting pupils with SEN
  • Helping to prepare lessons, work on projects, and accompany school trips if needed
  • Conducting 1-2-1 and small group learning sessions
About the school

All schools are mainstream primary schools across East London. Schools expect supply staff to be punctual, organized, passionate about working with children, and capable of working collaboratively.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Graduate Teaching Assistant in East London, you will:

  • Have an updated DBS or be willing to obtain one
