Job summary

Academics in Watford is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students in a partner secondary school. You will provide 1:1 and small group support, including SEN, and help deliver targeted interventions.

You will assist teachers in the classroom, encourage positive behaviour, and help learners develop confidence and independent learning. This role is ideal for recent graduates beginning a career in education.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate in any subject.
• Passion for working with young people.
• Experience with children/young people is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Deliver targeted academic intervention programmes to help students reach their potential.
• Assist teachers within the classroom to ensure all learners are engaged and supported.
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independent learning.
