A mainstream secondary school in Putney is currently seeking 2 recent graduates for 1:1 teaching assistant positions with students with a range of moderate and specific additional needs (SEND). Working 1:1 in inclusive classes within the mainstream school, this role will enable you to gain a valuable insight into working in SEND inclusion, and the challenges it poses to the UK education sector. While building a range of transferable communication and interpersonal skills, you will also gain direct teaching experience which will enable you to apply for a variety of teacher training routes, including Teach First. Exceptional candidates will also be considered for permanent roles and Schools Direct teacher training positions.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive and reliable individual who is genuinely interested in a career in education. The roles are to start in September 2024 however trials will be arranged in July. Salary is £100 per day.
