Job summary

Clacton County High School is recruiting a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive, aspirational community. You will support students across subjects, work with SEND and high-ability learners, and help deliver a broad and balanced curriculum within a safe, nurturing environment.

The role is term-time only (39 weeks per year), 33 hours 45 minutes per week, fixed term until 31 August 2027, and requires a proactive, organised approach with a commitment to safeguarding.

This role is 33 hours, 45 minutes, 39 weeks per year (term time, plus non-pupil days.

This is a fixed term contract until 31st August 2027.

A Day in the Life:

You'll be responsible for bringing your passion and expertise to the following areas:

• To support staff in range of subjects appropriate to agreed areas of expertise and to provide educational support to students with all types of differentiated abilities; including high ability students and those with a special educational need
• To ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
• Provide particular and skilled 1-1 support to students as directed by the Inclusion Support Co-ordinators or SENDCo/Assistant SENDCo.
• To encourage the inclusion of students with SEND in a mainstream setting, but also to work with our high achieving students in order that each individual student is able to achieve their potential.
