Working as a teaching assistant is a great way to gain invaluable school based experience that will stand you in good stead if you are considering teaching as a future career. The graduates work as SEN teaching assistants on a full time basis and gain invaluable school experience. As a SEN teaching assistant you will be working under the guidance of an experienced SENCo and will work closely with students. You will be working with students from years 7 - 11 in a wide range of subject areas giving you the opportunity to gain a real insight into secondary school teaching.
