Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a recent graduate to join a welcoming primary school as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Huntingdon. The role offers valuable classroom experience, supporting pupils across early years and key stages, with pay 93–105 per day and weekly PAYE.

You will work alongside experienced teachers, assist lesson preparation, and help create an engaging, inclusive learning environment while developing skills toward teacher training.

Qualifications

• Hold a degree (2:2 or above) in any subject.
• Genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning.
• Enthusiastic, patient and eager to develop within an educational setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• One-to-one and small intervention groups to help children achieve learning goals.
• Assisting class teachers with lesson preparations and classroom activities.
• Encouraging children's confidence, independence and engagement with learning.
• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND where appropriate.
• Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Building strong relationships with pupils, teachers and parents to support children’s development.

The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting teaching and learning throughout the school day. Your Responsibilities will include:

About You

The successful candidate will :

• Hold a degree ( 2:2 or above) in any subject
• Have a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning
• Be enthusiastic, patent and eager to develop within an educational setting
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be proactive, adaptable and able to work effectively as part of a tea,
• Have an interest in progressing into teaching or another education related career
