Academic Appointments is currently working with a Special School in the Wakefield area that is looking to appoint a number of Graduate Teaching Assistants. The school seeks forward-thinking graduates passionate about pursuing a career in education.
There are three vacancies starting with the new academic year. The school is open to candidates from various degree disciplines, with a preference for those with experience working with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) or youth work backgrounds.
The school caters to pupils aged 11 to 16 with Education, Health and Care Plans for Severe SEMH. Their goal is to prepare pupils for a positive future by developing their academic, social, and emotional skills. Staff work as a team to support pupils in achieving their potential, ensuring good progress from diverse starting points.
