Job Title: Graduate Teaching Assistant

Start date: October 2025

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne

Contract: Full time (Temp to Perm)

Salary: £90-100 a day (Dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Graduate Teaching Assistant who can work closely with staff and students. This opportunity will allow you to gain first-hand classroom experience in schools across Newcastle.

What this role will entail
  • Creating a motivating and uplifting classroom environment that encourages growth and passion
  • Providing both group and 1:1 support with students
  • Collaborating with teachers to give the best possible support
  • Applying and improving subject knowledge during your time in the classroom
What the ideal candidate looks like
  • A relevant degree, or equivalent (a bachelor’s degree in education is preferred but not essential)
  • Previous experience in the classroom/supporting students (desirable but not essential)
  • DBS check (or willing to apply)
  • Ability to work as a collective and collaborate in a professional setting
  • Strong communication skills
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and student behaviour
