A welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in Southwark is seeking a dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. About the Role:

  • Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to students to enhance their learning.

  • Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support.

  • Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) when required.

  • Helping to prepare teaching materials and resources.

  • Covering lessons and supervising students in the absence of the teacher.

  • Contributing to the wider school community and extracurricular activities.



Requirements:

  • A degree in any subject (minimum 2:2 classification preferred).

  • A strong desire to work in education and support young people.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a school environment.

  • Previous experience working with children or young people (preferred but not essential).

  • A DBS on the Update Service (mandatory).
