Location: Leeds
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Daily Rate: £89.38 – £118 (depending on experience)

We are recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistants to work across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 in supportive and inclusive primary schools throughout Leeds.

Graduate Teaching Assistant – Role Overview:

This Graduate TA role is ideal for individuals eager to build experience before teacher training. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting teachers in the classroom with daily tasks and learning activities
  • Delivering small group and 1:1 interventions in phonics, reading, writing, and maths
  • Assisting children with special educational needs (SEND), EAL, or behavioural challenges
  • Creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
  • Learning and contributing to the UK primary curriculum and daily school life

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A recent or soon-to-be graduate (all subjects welcome – especially Education, Psychology, English, Early Years)
  • Passionate about primary education and child development
  • Confident, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Previous experience working with children (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, coaching, volunteering) is desirable
  • Ambition to pursue teacher training, PGCE, SCITT, or a related career
