Graduate Teaching Assistant

Location: Barnet
Contract: Full-time and term-time only
Salary: £19,500 - £22,500 salary per annum (dependent on experience)
Start date: September 2025

Graduate Teaching Assistant - about the role:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in the classroom by supporting pupils academically, emotionally, and socially. You'll work alongside experienced teachers, supporting learning across the curriculum, assisting with small group work, and providing 1:1 interventions when needed.

We're recruiting for a variety of roles in both primary and secondary schools, including:

* Classroom support across EYFS - KS5
* SEN support for pupils with additional learning needs (e.g. autism, ADHD)
* Behaviour mentoring and pastoral support
* Literacy and numeracy intervention groups
* Subject-specific assistance (e.g. English, Maths, Science, Humanities)

Graduate Teaching Assistant - requirements:

* A recent graduate (2:1 or above) in an academic subject from a top UK university
* Passionate about working with children or young people
* Confident, adaptable and proactive
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Previous experience working with young people (volunteering, tutoring, coaching, youth work) is essential
* Willingness to commit to a full academic year as a minimum
