Job description

Our Future Teacher Programme allows you to explore a career in education before committing to Initial Teacher Training.

We provide paid placements in schools, starting a journey that can lead to qualified teacher status and a rewarding career.

The programme involves a placement within a secondary school for an academic year, during which you will act as a Cover Supervisor and gain classroom experience.

You will be assigned a mentor in your chosen subject, who will support and guide you throughout the year. Additionally, you will receive training modules tailored to prepare you for your teaching training.

At the end of the year, you will be invited to join your school or another school within the trust for teacher training.

Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons to students
  2. Assess student progress and provide feedback
  3. Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching methods
  4. Participate in staff meetings and professional development
  5. Maintain accurate records of attendance and performance
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team

Previous teaching experience is desirable but not essential.

Pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanence later.
