Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd. is seeking a Graduate Systems Engineer to join our team in Luton.

You will support the development of EW capabilities, work across the systems engineering lifecycle, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on exciting projects for RAF and Army platforms. You will engage in architecture studies, system concepts, and live trials with customers, while developing your engineering skills and knowledge through our 12/18-month programmes.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a 2:2 Bachelor’s/Integrated Master’s degree, or a higher degree such as MSc or PhD.
• Acceptable degrees include aerospace/aeronautical engineering, computer science/systems, electrical/electronic engineering, general engineering, mathematics, mechanical engineering, physics, and systems engineering.
• You must have an understanding of mathematics to at least A-Level standard, and a basic understanding of electronics.
• Experience with engineering development tools (e.g. MATLAB, Simulink, Rhapsody, Cameo, DOORS, a document management system).

Responsibilities

• Develop practical skills in engineering design and development for complex systems.
• Gain understanding of the EW domain to support product development.
• Work with engineers across disciplines to solve problems.
• Complete tasks to a high standard following processes and procedures.
• Contribute to engineering process improvements and share best practices.
• Develop and apply academic skills to problem solving and teamwork.
